Realigning your body, one muscle at a time...

My primary focus at Revolution Massage and Bodywork is to find the cause, not treat the symptom. My goal is to help your body realign and correct compensatory patterns that may be causing you pain. Often times, recurring discomfort can be caused (and corrected) by lifestyle choices we make on a daily basis. How we sit, stand, walk and sleep can all cause certain muscles to overcompensate, thereby creating an imbalance in our body mechanics. When your muscles are arguing it's my job to keep the peace!

My “think outside the box” style is fueled by a desire to help my clients in the longterm. I'm passionately committed to furthering my education in the field of therapeutic massage. With a comprehensive approach to bodywork, I incorporate advanced techniques and modalities to address your specific concerns.

Beyond deep relaxation, I can treat TMJ pain, migraines, hyperkyphosis, forward head posture, tech neck, rounded shoulders, scoliosis muscle discomfort, frozen shoulder pain, sciatica, “IT band” pain, hip pain, shinsplints, plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, and more.

PHILOSOPHY

I will tailor my massage to suit your specific needs and requirements, often incorporating several modalities in a single session...
SERVICES

I offer 60 and 90 minute massages incorporating a combination of the following techniques and modalities, to provide  you with a customized experience.

MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

MFR is used to treat muscle immobility and pain by relaxing the fascia over contracted muscles, thereby improving blood, oxygen and lymphatic circulation and

stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles. Fascia is the web-like connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, organs, and bones throughout the body.
The pressure from MFR can stimulate the nerve fibers within the fascia, which may help override the body's pain response and lead to improved movement.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY

This is a specialized (and relaxing) massage technique incorporating gentle strokes and rhythmic pumping to help move lymphatic fluid in the direction of the lymph pathways, stimulating the immune system and detoxifying the body. While many hospitals rely on MLD and it's proven effects on the treatment of Lymphedema, this treatment has many other benefits:

  • Relief from pain and soreness

  • Reducing digestive problems and discomfort

  • Balancing hormone levels

  • Relieving seasonal allergies and headaches

  • Helps with Insomnia

  • Reducing the effects of jet lag

  • General detoxification and stress relief

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Edema

  • Arthritis

TPT is the application of sustained pressure to trigger points, or hyper irritable spots in tight bands of muscle. This treatment can release tension, restore normal function, improve blood flow, reduce pain, and increase flexibility. Trigger point massage is best suited for people who have chronic pain, or a specific issue or condition.

TARGETED DEEP TISSUE

Targeted deep tissue is a good option to help relieve tight muscles, chronic muscle pain, and anxiety. This targeted approach to deep tissue massage incorporates slow strokes and deeper pressure to relieve tension from the deepest layers of your muscles and connective tissues.

SWEDISH

Swedish massage is a gentle type of full-body massage that’s ideal for people who:

  • are new to massage

  • have a lot of tension

  • are sensitive to touch

  • want to fully relax during their massage

ACU-CUPPING
FIRE CUPPING

Acu-Cupping uses vacuum suction cups (both plastic and silicone) to relieve muscle aches, decrease inflammation, reduce joint stiffness, increase blood flow and range of motion. This ancient form of alternative treatment can be utilized for a lighter approach to increase a sense of relaxation or a deeper therapeutic pressure.

The same advantages as Acu-cupping
but using traditional glass cups and fire. An alcohol soaked cotton ball is ignited and the flame is quickly inserted into the glass, then quickly placed onto the skin over the muscle to be treated. The client doesn’t feel the heat. The heat is only used to take up the oxygen in the cup allowing it to suction or rather “lift” the fascia and release the tension in that area.

DYNAMIC CUPPING
PNF STRETCHING

A modern cupping technique, the cups may be placed on the areas of tension in a static style (non moving) or in a moving style. You will be guided through specific safe stretches, letting the cups hold the fascial restrictions and the movement of your body will help release tight fascia allowing the muscles to unwind. This technique will improve blood flow and elasticity, improve circulation, enhance mobility, and speed recovery.

Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) is one of the most effective methods of stretching.
By contracting the targeted muscles against resistance, this method can increase your ROM and flexibility.

PRENATAL
TABLE THAI

Prenatal massage can be a safe way for women to get a massage during pregnancy after the first trimester. It can help reduce pregnancy body aches, reduce stress, and ease muscle tension. The side lying position is the safest for a mother to be and her growing baby. You may choose to have a relaxing massage or a deeply therapeutic session if needed.

Traditional Thai massage performed on a massage table instead of on a floor mat. Table Thai combines a variety of stretching movements, gentle rocking, muscle compressions, joint mobilization and acupressure, to lower stress, boost energy, releive headaches, stimulate circulation, and improve range of motion.

HOT STONE THERAPY

Relax with the application of heated Himalayan salt stones and/or basalt volcanic stones to help ease muscle tension, improve blood flow, increase circulation and promote healing.
